About OCO2

OCO2 is founded late September 2006 by four entrepreneurs sharing the same ambition: to stop global warming.

Machiel van Dooren and Frank van der Tang were leading a young professional network when they decided to take action against the greenhouse effect. Machiel and Frank were by then working together for about two years as Frank was Machiels first customer in his role of manager Corporate Social Responsibility at Ordina NV. Machiels company EsteamWork organized a learning journey to Tanzania for eight Ordina employees - mission: to set up an electronic bookkeeping system for a large coffee growing cooperative.

By 2005 a consecutive learning journey was organized, this time joined by Robin Pot and Arwi van der Sluijs. In the course of 2006 Frank and Machiel asked Robin and Arwi to join a new mission: OCO2. Arwi quit his position as sales director at Ordina to lead sales at OCO2. Three months later, Robin exchanged his position of financial controller at Ordina for OCO2 as well.

Working together now, the men are more inspired than ever before to change to world.
