OCO2 Foundation
OCO2 guarantees that every "compensation penny" received is for 100% invested in clean energy projects. Hereby OCO2 takes on quite a different approach to carbon dioxide compensation when compared to competition: OCO2 does not retain a percentage of compensation moneys received to fund operations. Û1 paid for CO2 compensation results in Û1 invested in premium carbon credits.
All compensation money is handled by the OCO2 Foundation: a non-profit entity that invests all of its cash in clean energy projects. The business of OCO2 is fuelled by consultancy and concept creation for corporate clients - therefore we can guarantee a full non-profit operation when it comes to carbon dioxide emission compensation.
The OCO2 Foundation reports on its investments and provides all OCO2 clients with a detailed certificate (click for example).

Windfarm India
Recently, the OCO2 Foundation bought premium carbon credits from a wind power project in India. The clean energy project has a total capacity of 10 Megawatts, divided over two different locations in the Dhule district, State of Maharashtra.
Over a ten-year period, this project results in a reduction of 145.328 tons of carbon dioxide. This project also contributes to local welfare and employment in a region formerly without electricity.

Biodigesters in Cambodja
De OCO2 Foundation recently also investeer in the Hivos project in Cambodja. In this project biodigesters are being implemented on household level. These biodigester then delver gas to cook on (instead of wood) and compost for farming.
